These juicy and tender French dip sliders feature thinly sliced roast beef, melty provolone cheese, and a rich au jus for dipping. Perfect for quick parties or cozy nights, they are easy to make and crowd-pleasing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pounds thinly sliced roast beef (store-bought deli or leftover roast)
  • 12 slider buns (soft, slightly sweet like Hawaiian rolls)
  • 12 slices provolone or Swiss cheese
  • 4 cups beef broth (low-sodium preferred)
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • Optional: fresh thyme or rosemary sprigs for au jus aroma

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional herbs. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat, then reduce to low and keep warm.
  3. Slice slider buns horizontally, keeping tops and bottoms connected like a hinge.
  4. Place bottom halves of buns in a baking dish. Layer thinly sliced roast beef evenly over buns, then top each with a slice of provolone cheese.
  5. Cover with top halves of buns and brush melted butter generously over the tops.
  6. Bake sliders for 15-20 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  7. Serve hot with warm au jus in small bowls for dipping.

Notes

Use thinly sliced beef to avoid dryness and soggy bread. Brush melted butter on buns before baking to get a golden, slightly crisp top. Simmer au jus gently to keep flavors balanced. Warm beef in au jus if thick slices are used. Store leftovers in airtight container refrigerated up to 3 days; reheat gently in oven and warm au jus before serving.
