A refreshing and colorful fruit infused water perfect for summer gatherings, combining fresh strawberries, blueberries, watermelon, cucumber, mint, and lemon for a hydrating and delicious drink.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup fresh blueberries
  • 1 cup seedless watermelon, cut into small cubes
  • 1/2 cucumber, thinly sliced with skin on
  • 10 fresh mint leaves, lightly bruised
  • 1 lemon, thinly sliced
  • 8 cups filtered cold water
  • Ice cubes for serving
  • Optional: 4 cups sparkling water (to replace half the water for fizz)
  • Optional: 1 teaspoon honey or agave (for added sweetness)

Instructions

  1. Rinse all fruits and vegetables thoroughly under cold water.
  2. Hull and slice the strawberries into thin pieces.
  3. Slice the cucumber into thin rounds.
  4. Cube the watermelon into small pieces.
  5. Slice the lemon thinly.
  6. Lightly bruise the mint leaves by clapping them between your hands or gently smashing with a spoon to release aroma.
  7. In a large pitcher, layer watermelon cubes, strawberries, blueberries, cucumber slices, lemon slices, and mint leaves. Repeat layers to fill the pitcher.
  8. Pour 8 cups of filtered cold water over the fruit layers.
  9. If desired, replace half the water with sparkling water just before serving.
  10. Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 to 2 hours to let flavors infuse.
  11. Before serving, gently stir the water to mix flavors.
  12. Add ice cubes to glasses, pour the infused water, and garnish with extra mint or whole berries if desired.

Notes

Use fresh, firm fruits to avoid cloudy water. Chill for at least 1-2 hours for best flavor. Add sparkling water just before serving for fizz. Avoid stirring too vigorously to keep water clear. Store infused water covered in refrigerator up to 24 hours. For longer storage, keep fruit and water separate and combine before serving.
