These easy crispy turkey pinwheels are quick to make, featuring a flaky puff pastry crust filled with tender turkey, cream cheese, and spinach. Perfect for parties, game day snacks, or casual get-togethers.

Ingredients

  • Puff pastry sheets (thawed, store-bought)
  • Deli turkey slices (about 8 oz / 225 g)
  • Cream cheese (4 oz / 115 g, softened)
  • Fresh spinach leaves (1 cup / 30 g, roughly chopped)
  • Garlic powder (1 tsp)
  • Onion powder (½ tsp)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (2 tbsp)
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper to taste
  • Egg wash (1 egg beaten with 1 tbsp water)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, garlic powder, onion powder, grated Parmesan, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and well blended.
  3. Stir in the chopped fresh spinach until evenly distributed.
  4. On a lightly floured surface, gently roll your thawed puff pastry sheets into a rectangle roughly 12 x 9 inches (30 x 23 cm).
  5. Evenly spread the cream cheese and spinach mixture over the puff pastry, leaving about a ½-inch (1.3 cm) border all around.
  6. Arrange the slices of deli turkey over the cream cheese layer, covering the surface without overlapping too much.
  7. Starting from the long edge, carefully roll the puff pastry into a tight log shape. Pinch the seam closed at the edge to keep everything inside.
  8. Using a sharp knife or pizza cutter, cut the log into about 1-inch (2.5 cm) thick rounds to make roughly 12 pinwheels.
  9. Place the pinwheels cut-side up on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the tops with the beaten egg wash.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 15-18 minutes, or until the pinwheels are puffed up and golden brown.
  11. Let the pinwheels rest for 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

If puff pastry is sticky or hard to handle, chill it in the fridge for 10 minutes before rolling. Use a very sharp knife to slice pinwheels to keep them neat. You can assemble and refrigerate pinwheels up to 2 hours before baking. For gluten-free, use gluten-free puff pastry or phyllo dough. Pinwheels can be frozen after slicing and baked from frozen with extra bake time.
